Why Women Undergo Breast Enlargement

The western society seems to have a singular way of describing beauty. If we are to look at the magazines and other prints, we can observe that a specific form of women is singled out: a woman who is not only fit but has curves and a relatively large chest.

No wonder, many admire them and want to be like them. The society’s response is to adopt them in any possible way.

In Pioneer America, vintage paper dolls were a valuable treasure since paper was limited. Imagine yourself as child living in a small cabin with very little to play with. You were given a paper doll, maybe two. You know how valuable they are and want to treasure them, so you find a special book and place them between pages or in a special box that you guard always for protection of your treasured paper doll.

The paper doll provides a very broad look at the cultures from all around the world. They represent so many costumes, clothing, accessories and many other things of importance for historians. The most obvious were the vintage paper dolls representing royalty and for the children of royalty.

Gemstones 101 - The Amethyst

Amethysts generally come in the color purple, and are used as an ornament. In fact, the Amethyst was one of the first gemstones that man used for jewelry. Ancient people believed that Amethysts have the power to prevent intoxication, protect travelers, assure victory and give business success to the wearer. The word “Amethyst” comes from the Greek “a” meaning “not” and ” methuskein” meaning “to intoxicate”. According to Greek myth, the goddess Diana turned a nymph into amethysts because Bacchus, the god of wine loved her which caused Diana to be jealous.

Elephant Gifts That Grow In Value

If you know someone who loves elephants, you’ve probably given them all the usual gifts. You’ve given them t-shirts with elephants on them, books about elephants, calendars with elephants, gift certificates to stores that offer elephant gifts, and all kinds of other gifts that feature elephants. Giving the same boring gifts over and over is no fun and, eventually, your loved one will have more than enough elephant stuff sitting in their house. The way to do this is by buying elephant collectibles. Knowing what to buy can help you to choose a gift that the recipient will enjoy and that will grow in value each year.

Greetings From Jamaica, Wish You Were Queer

I recently read a hilarious book by Mari SanGiovanni. I knew from the title Greetings from Jamaica Wish You were Queer this book was going to be funny and that it would probably challenge the mindset of some more traditional folks.

While the story seems to be an autobiography of the author’s life, I still can’t say for sure if all these crazy things actually happened to Mari. She might have been awarded millions of dollars in the settlement of her grandmother’s estate, but then again, it might be one of the stories about what we wish would happen to us.
