How Do I Become Psychic - Advanced Awareness In An Afternoon!
One of the biggest questions I get asked - ” ok, I’m impressed! How do I become psychic?” And my answer is always the same: You already are! And of course most people think I’m giving them a glib, cliché for an answer. But I’m not..:-) Don’t believe me? Let’s take a closer look at some of the simple steps you need to take to prove it to yourself.
First of all, you need to put yourself in an environment to succeed. This means either by yourself, with a trusted friend or companion, or even in a small group, you need to be comfortable, trust the company you are keeping ( even if it just YOURSELF! ) and hold at least a slender shred of belief that you can do miraculous things if you only try. Pick a time, get comfortable and we are going to presume for the sake of this article you are practicing alone.
Meditation is without question the easiest gateway into the mystical and magical realms. You MUST familiarize yourself with a meditative practice that feels good for you if you are truly going to master your psychic skills. Don’t be scared away, either - there are all kinds of esoteric and dogmatic names and descriptions for various meditative techniques - you need not worry about any of them. You are very simply going to quiet your mind, either through a simple mantra practice ( repeating a chosen word out loud ) or through a simple but slightly more advanced practice called Vipassanna, which is fundamentally the Buddhist meditation for insight and concentration. If you’ve never meditated - the rewards are immediate, the sensations blissful and the realizations start coming in waves.
I recommend a comfortable chair or cushion. A dark and comfortable room with candlelight is preferable for me. There is a good reason for much of the lore around eastern philosophies, meditation and psychic skills, dating back to the earliest Buddhist and Hindu teachings. If you augment your meditation with reading on these and other paranormal phenomena, you will find your speed and motion through the early phases of psychic skill acquisition will be greatly enhanced.
You MUST spend a fair amount of time visualizing. Illuminating the imagination is an integral component of creating psychic force. Pick a face. A friend, a neighbor. Someone close, but not uncomfortably so in the event you see something you don’t want to share just yet. This is a very controversial method - but I recommend mirror gazing once you have some level of meditative mastery down. When you can effectively quiet your mind for short periods of time ( 30-45 minutes) you can use mirror as the object of your gaze, rather than the mantra. If you have meditated well prior to this practice, you will invariably begin to feel and see a strange spectrum of things along the supernatural surfboard……The mirror helps me to witness these things as external phenomena rather than things that are happening behind my field of vision. ( This is tough to distinguish as you become good at focusing the mind) Mirror gazing also provides a springboard to the out of body experience, or OBE. Essentially you will feel “yourself” disengage from your physical self and it is not uncommon to having a complete shift in consciousness and awareness outside of your body completely. Books and books have been written on this, it ONLY seems unusual and far fetched to people who have never experienced anything like it - or whose world view holds that it is impossible. ( And I do feel bad for you if it is! )
Once you really start moving down this path - and it is a far richer experience than I can illuminate here - it is good if you are able to find a group, or get your friends involved in the journey with you. It can be very lonely to travel such an exciting and adventurous road by yourself! So get company. And read, learn and educate yourself. There are great courses and books, CD’s and so forth which will point you to where you want to be MUCH faster than trying to learn it all alone.
