Good care for your dog’s teeth can be a very important part of keeping your dog healthy and alive. Although it may not seem important, dogs can often have the same dental problems that people do. When plaque is left on the dog’s teeth, it can cause gum disease and even loss of teeth. When dogs are born, they have no teeth but grow their teeth in. These teeth usually come in around the first two or three weeks.
