These Things Can Make Your Email Campaign A Failure.

Like with anything else, an email marketing campaign is not fool proof, in fact there are several things that you can do to ruin an email marketing campaign. While many of them are minor details it is absolutely crucial that you do not do the following things in your email marketing campaign.

Do not Sell the Product

Create Referral Systems That Really Work

I think it’s the dream of every professional to have their business grow by referral only. Imagine not having to cold call or advertise! What a way to grow a business.

Can it really be accomplished? Yes it can. In fact, I know a handful of professionals that not only grow their business by referrals, but have SO many potential clients, they need to turn some away!

So the question is: If it really DOES work, why haven’t most of us created a business which is filled by referrals? The answer lies in understanding several important issues. Generally, people don’t know how to properly ask for referrals and don’t put in enough effort to create a steady stream of them.

Social Media - A Family Connection

Social media is a perfect vehicle for connections between family and friends. While it has many marketing opportunities there is a more personal side to social media worth exploring.

For instance, families used to connect only through the occasional letter that may be passed around from one family member to another and photos of grandchildren were passed along in Christmas cards.

Today social media is having an impact on how scattered families can remain connected. Beyond the useful emails, the use of social media can allow families to access a number of methods to help keep others up-to-date on family news.

So I have expertise in YP creation and have advised almost 7000 companies on how to put together YP ads and even wrote a book available on amazon. Now that I am semi-retired, I’ve written over 50 articles about the Yellow Pages and what it can do for the average family-run business, the backbone of the directory media.

Instant Success

Instant Noodles are probably one of the greatest inventions of all times. The strange thing is that they really are not instant and really are not a new invention. They are just the same old noodles in a new package and marketed a little differently.

There has to be a lesson to be learned when this product is given a closer inspection. Here is something (The noodle) that is hundreds or even thousands of years old. Yet it is now one of the most profitable food niche markets in existence today. Whether it is ramen, canton, bihon, pancit or whatever name it is known by locally, the concept is actually very amazing.

Small Business Marketing - Branding Is Serious Business

Branding is serious business, it takes a lot of initial thought. A company’s brand simply cannot support itself on attractive logo images and font usage alone. The biggest mistake businesses make is focusing on the visual aspect of brand identity without first establishing the brand framework, which contains: the company’s position, unique selling proposition (USP) and marketing message.

Brand is defined as a “name, term, sign, symbol or design, or a combination of them intended to identify the goods and services of one seller or group of sellers and to differentiate them from those of other sellers”. While the brand image must be both powerful and visually distinctive within the mind of the consumer, small businesses must first determine the most important component of the brand definition: how to “differentiate [the company’s image] from those of other sellers”.
